Bentley

Bentley cars are marketed by Bentley Motors Limited. It is one of the most popular brands in the luxury cars segment which has a long history of some of the most significant vehicles in history. Bentley was originally a British brand but has since been taken over by foreign firms, similarly to most British car brands.

The founders of Bentley are H.M Bentley and W.O Bentley where it is currently headquartered in Crewe, England. It was established in 1919 and played a prominent role in the automotive industry before it was acquired by another luxury brand Rolls-Royce Limited in 1931. In 1998, Bentley cars came under the German automotive giant, Volkswagen AG which is one of the largest automotive groups in the world today.

As a luxury car brand, Bentley has been very successful in most markets with its popular models like the Continental GT and Continental Flying Spur. The growth in production of Bentley cars increased steadily between 2011 and 2012. Bentley would re-venture into a British race in 2014 at the Blancpain Endurance Series through its Bentley Continental GT3 model by the M-Sport factory team where it won the Siverstone round. The last time Bentley officially participated in a British race was at the RAC Tourist Trophy back in 1930.

Todate, Bentley continues to be very popular in developed countries like Europe and the United States and is very much preferred by the rich and famous in other parts of the world like Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.
