Chrysler 300C fast but fails to impress in handling

To begin with, there is the engine where there are 3 variants you can choose from. First up the V6 engine which you can choose between the petrol or the diesel version. If you take the petrol version, you will get the 3.5 liter engine which gets you up to 249 horsepowers while the 3.0 CRD diesel engine gets you slightly less (218 horses) but quick enough nonetheless. Do not be mistaken here, the better torque in the diesel version means that it is faster than the diesel cousin where you get from zero to hundred in 7.6 seconds while the petrol version gets you there in 9.2.

To go one up in speed, there is the 425horsepoer 6.1 liter V8 engine, also known as the SRT-8. This typically gets you from zero to hundred in 5 seconds and gets to a top speed of 170mph. of course, you will expect that handling of this car to be of the highest quality but that would not be so hence, it is not so much one which you can go rally-tracking too much.

Introduced in 2004, the Chrysler 300 was one of the company’s flagship product and was easily one of the most spacious car in its category. The 2009 version is where you get a new grille as well as some makeover which really makes it look so much cooler. This car now comes with a standard moonroof and a new colour as well. Coming in standard in this car is the 5 speed automatic transmission gearbox as well as its own AutoStick system which essentially is the clutchless-manual mode and a better suspension system.

If you are looking for something totally new and futuristic, perhaps you won’t find it here in the 300C but if you are looking for practicality, then maybe yes. Whichever way you see it, this car is quick enough and gives you lots and lots of space but it lacks in handling and definitely some of you might not really like its ‘old-fashioned’ design.
