The department had launched the ‘Ops Bantu’ where apart from the personnel involved will also include 150 vehicles which are being deployed around the highways throughout the country to help motorists if needed during their ‘balik kampung’ exodus. Abdul Halim said that the assistance would include helping the road users with repairs in events of minor breakdowns like changing tyres as well as to help with the traffic flow especially when there are accident incidents. He said that the campaign includes a 16 hour patrol along the federal highways as well as state feeder roads.
