The 10 new vehiles which will excite consumers for 2011 are profiled in the list apparently, the world’s automotive manufacturers will be having one of the most diverse and intensive new launches in their histories this coming summer. This is because they are all hoping to jump-start their sales for 2011 from a recovering economy globally. The Hyundai Equus joins a list of very impressive models from other manufacturers in the list include the Saab 9-5c, BMW 5 series Sedan, the Chevrolet Cruze, the Honda CR-Z, the Mazda2, Cadillac CTS/CTS-V Coupe, the Subaru Impreza WRX/STI, the Ford Fiesta and the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The Equus is positioned to compete with its rivals on the luxury sedans segment where, according to Hyundai matches them in all departments which include “amenities, performance, advanced technologies, design and ownership experience.” According to Scott Margasan, the Director of Product Planning for Hyundai Motor America, the cutting edge technologies, bold style and unparalled combination of luxury and value will attract a new segment of car buyers for the company where this model is expected to provide owners with an affordable, high-end experience through the company’s succesful formula for intelligent luxury into the retail and service environment.

Jack R Nerad, the executive editorial director and executive market analyst for kbb.com said that the top 10 list produced consisted of new entrants as well as some re-designed longtime success stories and that due to the fact that the automotive companies stepping up their ‘games’, it is an ideal time to be in the market for a new car, both for the manufacturers as well as the buyers. The editors of kbb.com concurrred that the Equus is a ‘daring move’ by Hyundai where they have produced a model capable of matching the ilkes of Lexus LS460 and the Mercedes-Benz S Class. “Based on a stretched Genesis platform, this high-minded Hyundai matches tasteful exterior styling with a megaload of premium interior appointments. Mechanically, the Equus offers a 385-horsepower/4.6-liter V8, six-speed Shiftronic automatic transmission, variable air suspension and comprehensive vehicle dynamics package.”
