He said that from the numbers, 16,349 have been solved, 4,659 cases are blacklisted while 5,872 were under investigation. He also reported that the complaints came from 7,890 cases of offenders who beat red lights, 2,012 offenders who overtook on double lines, 3,190 for cutting queues, 850 for using mobile phones while driving and 5,587 of them were motorcyclist who were not wearing helmets.

He also added that RTD won’t be setting up roadblocks during the festive season and would rely more on public complaints using MMS which they deemed to be more effective. He also said that the complaints must be attached with ‘sufficient and clear information’ like picture, time and place so that they adhere to the regulations.
