New Suzuki Swift Sport unveiled, to be launched at Frankfurt show

The current Suzuki Swift compact car is set to get a new look once the Japanese car maker launches it at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show next month.

The Swift was recently given a face lift last year while they also showed off the S-Concept at the Geneva show recently. According to Suzuki, this would be a refined sport compact version of the widely successful and popular Swift and the 2012 version will be the first full upgrade since 2006 when the Swift Sport first came into the scene.

It now comes with a nicer and sportier looking body while they have also inserted a new front grille which is larger and looking more aggressive. The sportiness persona is also extended into the interiors so that one would get the holistic driving experience. Under the hood is the M16A 1.6 liter engine which was made exclusively for this car and is paired with a 6 speed manual transmission gearbox, which is also tailor-made for this. In terms of safety, they have adhered to the international standards where it will come with the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) as well as 7 airbags that covers the curtain and driver’s knee. The world anticipates as Suzuki rolls the covers off the new Swift and let’s hopes it comes to our shores pretty soon too.
