Rent a Lamborghini? Believe it as Singaporean firm launches supercar rental service

Of course, if you can rent one, that means you either do not wish to own one, or you simply cannot afford to do so. Hence, you are only after the kicks and adrenaline rush to drive one. Well, this would be ideal for those of you who had been thinking of getting married on a Ferrari or you are about to go on a hot date and needs desperately to impress.

The Singaporean company has used realized all you dreamers but offering rental services for these cars where they launched their latest fleet of cars last week. They have since unveiled their latest 12 top range and luxury sport cars which are open to the public for rental. Denny Koh, the founding partner and director of 6Speed said that to be eligible to rent any of their 12 models, you would need to have at least 3 years of driving experience and must be above 29 years’ old.

This requirement of the age limit was not a decision made by the company though but was mandatory as it was set by the insurance company where they deemed that someone above 29 would be of the matured age and would not simply drive, speed or misuse the multi million dollar cars.

At the moment, the models available include well known supercars like the Audi R8, Ferrari Spyder and Coupe, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and Coupe, Porsche Turbo and Cabriolet, while the luxury ones are the Mercedes SL350 and Cabriolet and BMW Convertible. The company reported that rental for the cars start from S$1,000 to S$4,500 daily or S$4,000 to S$19,000 weekly. On the other hand, luxury cars could be rented starting from S$450 to S$900 daily or S$2,000 to S$3,300 weekly. It is not cheap investing in this type of businesses although Koh said that they expect 2 to 3 years for their ROI (Return on Investment). He also said that they are targeting to reach 18 units by the end of the year, hopping to add Ferrari F458 Italia, and the new Mercedes SLS to their lineup. Other cars they are planning to get include the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce, the Lamborghini 570-4 Superlegger, Ferrari 599 GTE and the Ferrari California.
