Well, at the moment, it is only meant for the European countries starting 2013 but don’t breathe too easy as this might come here pretty soon. The device is developed by Advanced Safety and Driver Support for Essential Road Transport or better known as Asset and is being developed and is currently in the testing phase in Finland. Once they roll out this camera, it would cost £50,000 each.

The camera is said to be able to capture offenders from 150 feet away and is the first ever which can capture multiple offences simultaneously. On top of that, it is also connected through satellite to the police computer systems which means that if you are ‘caught’, then it only take a few seconds and the police in front will be able to stop you and ask you to pull over. So that’s it for you who does not like to wear seat belts and with road tax expiry and such, be careful now.
