20% of Lexus’ target of 400 units to come from northern region

Kuah said “The opening of the Lexus Penang branch is in tandem with Lexus Malaysia’s strategic direction to grow its network. It is also to strengthen our position in the luxury car segment and sell 400 units in 2010. Since January this year, the Penang branch had sold 21 cars and Lexus is confident of increasing sales in the northern region when the branch service centre is expectedly ready in July, to serve customers. Since entering the local market in December 2006 with the introduction of the LS 460L and GS 300 models, Lexus has sold more than 700 units. Last year alone, we put more than 300 new cars on the road, with the Lexus RX350 as the best selling model,”
