2010 Ford Fiesta Euro-Spec all set to light up the roads

To say the least, they are launching the Fiesta which has become quite an iconic touch in Europe to bear its same name in the US. The Fiesta was first introduced back in the 1978 and was around for 2 years before it got ‘moved’ to Europe. Since then, there has been some 4 generations and this would otherwise be its sixth. The Fiesta is quite a best seller in the European markets and Ford will look to emulate this in its own country.

The way this car is positioned is pretty timely as the growing demands for cars in this market segment is growing fast. Think Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris and the Nissan Versa, which apart from the latter, the other 2 cars are doing relatively well over here in Malaysia, so you might be able to expect that it might come to our market soon as well, provided that it does well in its native country.

One thing for sure, this car surely looks way nicer than its predecessors. Take a quick looking tour on the design of the car and you will find that the lime green body promotes pretty much its sporty and upbeat lifestyle. This will surely attract all the attention which you will like, after all, why bother buying a car this ‘loud’ if you do not want to be seen right? As a matter of fact, there are quite a lot of space in this model seriously as it is designed for the taller adults you will find that getting in and out of the car is almost effortless.

Under the hood, you get a 1.6 liter 4 cylinder engine with which it comes with the automatic transmission gearbox while there is a 5 speed manual one available as well, pretty standard you might think but this car is quick enough for its size as it is not really such a heavyweight. Considering that, the 1.6 engine is pretty swift and hence driving would be quite a beauty in itself. That which you will not really like about this car is perhaps its hatch-back-ness which means you get pretty limited boot space but then again, so are the other competitors like the Honda Fit (Jazz) and the Toyota Yaris. Once this car gets to our roads, you will surely see a full fiesta.
