There are 3 specifications available where the 2.0 liter version comes in Standard which is priced at RM135,888 while the High Spec one costs RM143,888. That will get you up to 164bhp and 197Nm of torque. The top of the range version is the 2.4 liter High Spec version which is priced at RM163,888 that gets to 175bhp and 277 of torque.
Under the hood is the Theta II MPi petrol engine. With a 13.2 kilometers per liter, it is one of the best in fuel economy in the class. All 3 versions come with dual airbags and ABS as standard safety features. For the 2.0 Standard, you get semi-leather seats while the High Specs for both the 2.0 and 2.4 liter versions come with leather seats.
A panoramic sunroof comes with both the High Spec versions while 17 inch alloy wheels and front fog lamps are included as standard across all models. However HID headlights with auto levelling controls are provided only for the 2.4 version while the rest comes with Halogens. Power seats are fitted for the driver in the 2.0 High Spec while the 2.4 model gets power seats for both the driver and the passenger.
There are 5 colours available in the new Sonata where you can choose between Remington Red, Black Diamond, White Crystal, Sleek Silver and Blue Passion. All versions come with electric folding side mirrors which is pretty standard these days. There will be no keyless and push start in the standard 2.0 model which is provided in the others. They have also put in Cruise Control as standard in all models. For entertainment, rest assure that whichever model you choose will allow you to fit in your iPods.
