The Audi R8 GT Spyder is one crazy looking car. It is a head turner no less and the open top sport car is crazy enough to come with a big engine, a light body and a seriously limited production unit.
They are only making 333 units of this version that comes with 5.2 FSI Quattro engine that gets you up to 560 horses. It also comes with a permanent All-Wheel Drive fitted with an automatic 6 speed R-Tronic transmission gearbox. automated six-speed R tronic transmission. Alcantara leather is used on the steering wheel and the windshield frame while you get some really cool looking white dials inside too.
This means it takes only 3.8 seconds to get from zero to hundred, which is faster than the V10 engine unveiled last year. The Spyder is made with the Audi Space Frame body and has magnesium cover for the engine frame while CFRP or carbon fiber reinforced polymer is used for its large side panels behind. Inside you get bucket sports seats while the soft top needs only 19 seconds to open and close which can be done when the car is moving at a maximum of 50km/h. The thing is, with a car of this stature, it is hard to imagine having to cruise at 50km/h!
