Coming up at Frankfurt, the very low Peugeot HX1 Concept MPV

French automotive giant Peugeot is set to unveil their latest concept at the upcoming 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show where they will be rolling the covers off their Peugeot HX1 Concept Car, which is going to be an MPV concept model.

Unlike other standard MPVs which are tall and bulky, this would be a more sporty model which is slightly more compact and lower and longer. Hence, it is quite like the Caldina and Odyssey, if you get the drift. The HX1 Concept is 1,373mm tall, 1,990mm wide and 4,954mm long and the big difference here is that by default, the concept is a 2 row car and if needed, the middle row will be unfolded. This means without the middle row, the back row passengers do get a lot of legroom.

It will be powered up through it 204 horses 2.2 liter HDi diesel engine paired with a 6 speed automatic transmission gearbox. On top of that, it is also equipped with a 95 horse electric motor compliments of Peugeot’s own HYBrid4 system. The motor can be charged using a 240v charging system. The HX1 is designed using the ‘Metamorphosis’ theme which means it is designed to adapt itself to the conditions and the surroundings of the car, so this is quite the thing of the future.
