UMW Toyota, the distributor of Toyota cars for Malaysia has unveiled the new facelifted 4-Wheel Drive SUV Toyota Fortuner.
This is the model which was recently shown at the Indonesian Motor Show which comes with new designed parts and some cool new equipment too. No changes were made to the engines though as it is still powered up with the 2.7 liter petrol engine that boost out 158 horses or alternatively one can get the 2.5 liter turbodiesel engine that boosts out 100 horses.
Both the engines are mated with the 4 speed automatic transmission gearbox and one can choose between the 2 different trims of the engine choices. For the petrol version, you can either get the 2.7V or the 2.7V TRD Sportivo while for the diesel option, there is the 2.5G or the 2.5G TRD Sportivo models respectively. The TRD Sportivo versions are naturally the more sporty and beefed up versions. They have put in a darker colour scheme inside which makes it look a bit more elegant as compared to the pre-facelift version. here, they have changed most of the design including the dashboard areas as well as the lighting and the steering wheel too.
It now comes with a new colour called Dark Steel Mica while the former Coal Black is no longer offered and the petrol version is priced at RM178,990 for the 2.7V and RM182,488 for the TRD Sportivo. The diesel version is priced at RM167,990 for the standard and the TRD Sportivo goes for RM171,448.
