Italian car giant Fiat is set to show off their new Fiat Viaggio at the Beijing International Auto Show next week where the Viaggio is named after the word Voyage in Italian.
The new model is the first product of the Fiat-Chrysler twin project where it will be marketed for the China road in which it will be called the Fei Xiang which means flying.
The 4 door sedan car will be built based on the basic chassis of the Dodge Cart which was seen at the recent Detroit Motor Show where it is built based on the CUSW (Compact US Wide) architecture which was originally meant for the Alfa Romeo Guilietta. Everyone is still waiting for the final specifications to come out but according to Fiat, it will be the only model that comes with the 1.4 liter turbocharged T-Jet engine capable of boosting out some 120 and 150 ponies on its 5 speed manual transmission and Dual Dry Clutch Transmission gearboxes respectively.
The Viaggio will be designed by the Fiat Group Style Centre and will be rolling out first from the GAC-Fiat World Class Manufacturing Plant in Hunan and they will start working on this next July and then it will start selling in the same quarter.
