Ford C-Max, surely a fine choice for Malaysians who like space and compactness

One distinct feature about this car is that it comes with a large storage space for both passengers and whatever you want to carry but yet the design of the body makes it looks smaller than you can imagine. The C-Max do come across as a normal car but also a bit like a minivan, but to be honest, it is neither. First put on show at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, the Geneva version would be its production version.

Set to compete with the likes of Mazda5 and the Chevrolet Orlando, this would be Ford’s one of two initial models to come with the EcoBosst,4 cylinder engine which comes with a 1.6 liter direct-injection motor. The other one being the upcoming Ford Mondeo. The C-Max (C stands for Compact) is known to be a ‘multi-purpose vehicle’ which have been around in Europe 5 years ago. This means that apart from the space of a typical mini-minivan for storage, it is also a 7 seater with 3 rows of seats that comes with a 2-3-2 layout. Having said that, the leg room in this car would need to be compromised if you are to fit 7 adults into the C-Max. so, with a lot of load and passengers, you can be sure to find that the C-Max might just be a bit too crammed.

There is though a straight resemblance with the upcoming 2011 Ford Fiesta in terms of the style and design where the twin trapezoidal grilles in front has become one of the fans’ favourites in Europe particularly. At the moment, there are not too much details yet but one thing for sure, it would be very much welcomed with the rising demand for room space and economical driving experience. More so since the C-Max comes with a sliding door, that would be a fine touch for starters.
