With the launch of the Cruze, they would like to increase their market share from about 2% to 10% . The new model will be distributed by Naza Group’s Pavilion Crest Sdn Bhd who is also distributing other Chevrolet models like the Captiva and Aveo. Datuk SM Faisal SM Nasimuddin, the joint group executive Chairman of Naza Group said that Pavilion is currently the sole and exclusive distributor of the Chevrolet brand as well as for General Motors and that its current 8 dealer network in key markets is being expanded for better coverage in the region and to offer better services for its customers.
As mentioned yesterday, Naza group had recently launched the widely anticipated Chevrolet Cruze. The Chevrolet is a brand under the General Motors Group and Naza was recently appointed to take over the distribution and marketing of the brand from its previous agreement under DRB-HICOM after some disappointing results. Since taking over the sole distributorship of the brand, various quarters have been upbeat with what Naza could bring to the brand especially with its vast experience in marketing in the automotive industry where they have successfully brought in an established Kia as well as being the sole distributor of premium luxury cars like Ferrari.
