GM breathes new life into 55 E-Rod LS3

Put on show in Las Vegas at the SEMA 2010 show, GM is going to keep the traditional DNA of the E-Rod LS3 for the 2011 model. According to Dave Ross, the designer of the company who also came up with the E-ROD '55 Chevy in last year’s show, they have used the 1955 version as their platform to build the new project. It now comes with the new E-ROD 5.3 liter engine which also gets you the latest Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS body which is made by Dynacord Classic Bodies Inc.

The engine gets you up to 315 horse and 335 lb-ft of torque where it is supposedly the most affordable version around. They are expecting to start selling this one next year and is priced at USD7,150 although they are also selling the engine-only for about USD6,000 where it is paired with the 4L65-E electronic automatic transmission gearbox.
