Hamilton relief with win at Hungary, tributes to the team

This season has been all about the new rookies like Brawn GP and Red Bull Racing who have been making huge waves in the championship so far. Jenson Button is currently leading the standings and Hamilton is looking to lose his crown pretty soon if the situation persists. Some has even write him off to defend his title and with more than half the season gone, it seemed apparent that Hamilton will resort to losing his title he won so closely last season.

But at Hungary, it seemed that he could have his season back on track and if he wins all the rest of the rounds, who know what will happen. This would be his first victory since he won at Shanghai last year. And he attributes the win to the relentless effort put in by his mechanics.

Hamilton said "It is an incredible feeling to be back here after all. It feels such a long time away, such a struggle with me and the team but as I said on the in-lap I am so proud of the guys. I go to the factory and see how hard everyone pushing, they never gave up and it is something very rare to see in a large group of people. We didn't expect to win this weekend. I didn't feel we had pace to win but the car felt fantastic. It's incredibly special to be back up here, not just on the podium but just to get this win. The car was fantastic. The team asked me to look after tyres, and through experience I was able to do that, so thanks to the guys and fans, and my family."

Right now, more evident than ever, they cannot rest on their laurels and the team has to start working harder to ensure he gets back into winning ways. He added that "We have to take as much as we can from this weekend. We need to continue to push, it doesn't mean we can start slowing down. We will keep pushing, we have improvements to make and work to do to beat these guys on a regular basis. It's one huge leap for us, let's keep going."
