Since its launch, the hybrid Honda CR-Z has been very well received in Malaysia indeed.
The latest model from Honda Malaysia saw them overachieving their targets to sell 100 units by the end of the year where after one month since it was shown to the public, Honda Malaysia is delighted to announce that they have received 300 bookings.
According to Yoichiro Ueno, the MD and CEO of Honda Malaysia, they are very encouraged by the response of the people here especially with the rising popularity of hybrid cars since the government announced the exemption of duties for green vehicles. Honda Malaysia also announced that they will be bringing in 3 new colours which are the Storm Silver Metallic, Milano Red and Crystal Black Pearl respectively. Before this, only the Premium White Pearl was available.
The CR-Z is sold at RM115,000 with a 5 year or 140,000 km battery warranty and the new colours will be available early next year. These models are currently for the manual transmission gearbox versions and Honda Malaysia said that they will be planning to bring in the CVT version sometime next year as well. So, for those who don’t like the manual shifters, keep your fingers crossed.
