Not sure if like the Honda Civic Hybrid which came to our roads but if it does, under the hood, you will get a 1.3 liter i-VTEC engine that would be working together with an electric motor. No news on what its power whether independently or combined have been released but they did say that it will be paired with a CVT gearbox. They have also confirmed that the new hybrid would be able to run solely on electric motor alone when in medium or low speed situations. This is also the very concept you get in the Civic hybrid and the Insight, of which runs on the same engine.
It will come with new designs around the car and some of the significant ones are the headlights which have a blue motif around it while you would also notice its new grille, and the striking and funky lime green body. They have also fitted in some nice new looking bumpers too. According to Honda, the new Jazz hybrid is all about lower emissions and better fuel economy to their super-mini model which have been widely popular around the region and in Malaysia as well.
Apparently, they believe that by producing the Jazz hybrid, they would have a car with reduced CO2 emission that rides on the practicality of the current model. This model will start selling in the United Kingdom early next year and since UK cars are right-hand drives, then there is a good chance that it might come to our roads.
Apart from that, you will also get a chrome tailgate garnish while a darker single coloured dashboard greets you from inside. You can also opt for a lather trim if you like which will make it the first in its model line for the European market. Apart from the new Jazz hybrid where more specifications will be revealed at the upcoming show, Honda is set to also showcase their 2011 Insight, their new CR-Z, the new Jazz, CR-V as well as the Accord and Accord Tourer respectively.
Along with the new hybrid Jazz, Honda will display the 2011 model year Insight, CR-Z, Jazz, CR-V, Accord and Accord Tourer, as well as the sports touring motorcycle VFR1200F equipped with the V4 engine, and a stylish PCX scooter with low emission idle-stop 125cc engine.
