Another hybrid vehicle has joined our roads here and this is in the form of the Honda Jazz Hybrid.
The launch of the new hybrid from Honda came after months of intense speculations and now it is official and they have brought in the green coloured compact car which was recently launched at FRIM (Forest Research Institute of Malaysia) which goes along with the persona of the model.
The Jazz Hybrid now comes with a 1.3 liter IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) engine which is similar to that was planted in the very popular Honda Insight. This model first came to the scene 2 years ago at the Paris Motor Show and it is recorded to come with a fuel consumption of only 21.3km/l through its 1.2 liter i-VTEC engine paired with the IMA powertrain which as mentioned is the technology behind the Insight, currently on sale in Malaysia.
The Jazz Hybrid will be sold for RM94,800 on-the-road with insurance and it comes with the ECON driving mode. On top of that, you also get 6 airbags, a Hill Start Assist system as well as the Charge Assist Indicator. At RM94k, this would be the cheapest hybrid and they have retained most of the space efficient elements of the original Jazz which has been its best selling point so far. For the price, you get a 5 years or 140,000 km warranty for the battery and you get to choose between 5 colours too.
