Isuzu M’sia rolls out the new D-MAX 2.5 Super Commonrail at below RM90k

Under the hood, the current 2.5 liter engine gets you up to 80 horses at 3,900rpm and 176Nm of torque at 1,800rpm while the new model is fitted through a 117 horsepower model at 3,600rpm and 280Nm of torque between the rpms of 1,800 and 2,220. On top of that, it also comes with a 4×4 mode where in contrast the standard model only comes with a 4×2 configuration.

The Commonrail model gets you the 5 speed manual transmission gearbox which is also the same one fitted into the non-commonrail version. Isuzu announced that there will be 2 trims namely the Type-B which is the entry level and the top range Premium version which comes with projector headlights, fog lamps and the indicator lights fitted onto the side mirrors. Apart from that, it also comes with additional safety features like ABS with EBD and dual airbags. Entertainment is channeled through the double din head unit that comes with MP3 and WMA playback.

They have also included the e-Lumax system where you get a multi-info display, a leather wrapped gear knob with aero-type side steps. A limited-slip differential and anti-theft alarm system and key coded immobilizer are all included in both trim models.

Set to start selling through its showrooms in October, you can get your hands on the D-MAX 2.5 Super Commonrail Type-B at RM82,155.40 OTR with insurance (solid paint) and the Premium model with solid paint finish will be sold for RM88,411.40 OTR with insurance. They are also running a promotion up until the end of November where if you buy the double-cab model, you will get a free GPS unit by Garmin as well as cash rebate under their Smart Saver program.
