KIA Borrego SUV

At the North American International Auto Show Sunday KIA introduced to the automotive world with the introduction of the all-new Borrego SUV. The expansion of the KIA product range this time around is by any means Kia’s most powerful and biggest production vehicle to date. The Borrego, which will start selling in summer 2009 comes with a 10 years, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty.

The DOHC engine is a V8, 300 horsepower engine. These are the first time KIA included the features in their models. So is the six speed automatic transmission, the hill-start control and downhill assist control too. It has a 114-inch wheelbase and 192-inch overall length put it at the large end of the SUV scale. Buyers can choose between the 3.8 liter V6 or the 4.6 liter V8 engines.

Standard equipments comes accessorized with a three-row seating, side and side-curtain airbags, and a USB connector made specially for the iPod or other MP3 players. The antilock brakes and stability control are also included with optional items like a backup alarm, sirius satellite radio, and a navigation system. Apart from that, it also has an in-dash, six-disc CD changer powered by a 600-watt Infinity® audio systtem. It also includes power-adjustable pedals.
