One of the more sportier cars to have come out of the Korean manufacturers would have been the previous Hyundai Coupe which looked good but did not live up to it performance. Hence Kia now brings you their own version of how to make a good looking and sportier looking coupe. The Koup is set to light the roads up once it is launched.
To begin with, this is the car segment which was previously helmed by the likes of Honda’s Civic Coupe and the Toyota Celica but of course, their loss would be Kia’s gain for sure and they did not disappoint here. This 2 door car will surely get the buyers excited with its new design which is more aggressive where the grille and flared mudguards just makes it a whole lot sweeter.
The car comes with a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine and mated with a 5 speed manual transmission gearbox which might be a let down because these days, anything sporty would mean at least a 6 speed gearbox. This however has been confirmed that by Kia that they will be bringing them in soon. If you want an automatic gearbox, you will get the 4 speed automatic transmission while a 6 speed one is also available.
It also comes with stability control system, bucket seats, climate control air-conditioning, cruise control system, 17 inch alloy rims, sports exhaust and 6 airbags. Comparatively, the Koup is lower than its sedan cousin which is important for the handling of this car considering that it is superior when it comes to taking on curves and bends. The Koup would be quite a welcome move by Kia really since all the car makers are slowing making more expensive and sportier upgrades to their models. This car performs well and its price tag will also be quite an attractive factor.
