Lexus Malaysia will be bringing in yet another model and this would be just great news for all you who always wanting to own a Lexus where they will be selling it for RM168,000 and get this, it is a hybrid model. The more affordable price point here is probably contributed through the incentives provided for by the government for hybrid vehicles where there are now full exemptions for excise duties for vehicles in the segment. The Lexus CT 200h is soon to be introduced which is the hatchback model while there would also be a CT 200h Luxury version coming this way too which will be priced at RM196,500 just a bit shy off RM200k, now that’s well worth it.
Both the models will be powered up by the 2ZR-FXE 1.8 liter Atkinson cycle petrol engine which is the same one found in the third generation Toyota Prius engine which gets you up to 98 horses which gives you a combined power of 134 horsepower together with its 168-cell NiMh electric motor powering up another 80 horses there. The 2 variants here also comes with perforated leather seats which are equipped with heaters while you also get dual-zone air conditioning system and a cruise control as well.
Entertainment wise, the CT 200h model gets you a 6 speaker configuration through its Lexus Premium Audio System while the CT 200h Luxury comes with an additional 4 speaker system. Safety features here are pretty much standard where it is fitted with 8 airbags to complement the other standards like the Brake Assist System, ABS, Traction Control, EBD and VSC. Rear seat Isofix points too are included while they have also put in differential equipments between the standard and the Luxury models where the latter gets LED headlights as compared to halogen ones on the standard while powered seats are provided for in the Luxury with the stock model getting manual operated seats.
Coming with 16 inch wheels wrapped with 205/55 series rubbers, the Luxury model also comes with rain sensing wipers, a reverse camera, a navigation system and a remote touch controller, a smart entry system and the EMV (Electro Multi Vision) screen which are not included in the stock model.
