Local boy Jazeman Firhan continues up in motorsports in FIA Formula 3 International Trophy

Local boy Jazeman Firhan Jaafar has been making a name for himself in the motorsports world where he has confirmed to be participating in the upcoming inaugural FIA Formula 3 International Trophy 2011. He will be debuting in the first round at the Hockenheim Circuit in Germany in the first round of the F3 Euro Series.

This would be the first of 6 rounds included in the F3 International championship where the new event is created do develop young and aspiring racers’ careers as well as to give the F3 calendar a profile boost. This would be a great opportunity for Jazeman to gain more experience in the circuit as well as to provide him with more chances to race in tracks which he has yet to race in with the Carlin British F3 set up car which is designed to the F3 Euro Series regulations that also includes Kumho tyres.

Most of the other competitors would be the usual drivers in the F3 Euro Series drivers whom he would probably be very much accustomed to while there would also be participation of drivers from other F3 series as well which means there would be new competitors for Jazeman. The F3 International Trophy would be a platform which can propel drivers to the higher series as the top 3 places after the 6 rounds would give them a Formula One Super Licence qualification.

Jazeman said that it would be quite a challenge for him to try and race in the Kumho tyres instead of the Cooper tyres which is used in the British F3 and where this might be new to him, the track would be anything but. Instead, he has had his best podium finishes at Hockenheim where he finished second and third last year so he would be very comfortable there. After Hockenheim, the series will go to France where they will race on the Pau F3 Grand Prix street circuit before heading out to Belgium at Sap. The Netherlands’ Circuit Park Zandvoort is up next and then it is off to Guia Circuiti n Macau before concluding at the Korean International Circuit in Yeongam.
