Malaysia’s distributor of BMW and Mini cars has launched the new sporty Mini Coupe. This would come in a single engine variation which is the 1.6 liter turbocharged version.
That means that you will get the 184 horsepower Cooper S model which is the first to get the 3-box body structure.
Another first for this would be the active rear spoiler which automatically rises when the car goes to 80km/h and when it dips to 60km/h, then it will slowly goes back into hiding through its 4 part control mechanism. Apart from that, it gets 17-inch Conical Spoke alloy wheels while the interiors get you the pretty standard large speedometer just behind the steering wheel.
The new Cooper S Coupe is priced at RM249,888, on-the-road, without insurance and comes with quite a rich palette to choose from while you can also choose the contrasting colour for the roof. That is quite a lot in the standard package but for RM14,988, you can get the Mini Connected Package which comes with a 10 speaker Harmon-Kardon audio system, a 6.5 inches high-res LCD screen and an iPhone connectivity system. That allows you to be online when on the move where the systems practically reads out your Facebook or Twitter messages for you.
