Mercedes reveals the new B-Class

German luxury car giant Mercedes-Benz has put all speculation to rest where they has unveiled the new B-Class which is set to be launched at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show next month.

This would be the new ‘Compact Sports Tourer’ which according to Mercedes-Benz is spacious, comfortable and supposedly more efficient and drives better too.

The new B-Class would be the first to come out from Stuttgart using the new small car architecture. It adopts the new MFA or Mercedes Frontwheel Architecture which means you will get a lower vehicle height as well as better sports dynamics with this one. This 5 seater is larger and comes with a lower drag co-efficient which makes it more practical and fun to drive. It will come with turbocharged and direct-injection engines through its 4 cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Where this is concerned, you will get the 1.6 liter gasoline engine capable of pushing out from 122 to 156 horses while using diesel, you will get the 1.8 liter engine which boosts between 109 to 136 horses.

The engines are fitted standard with a 6 speed manual transmission gearbox while one might also opt for the 7 speed dual-clutch transmission with engine start-stop technology for better fuel efficiency. A whole list of state-of-the-art technology will be included so keep your fingers crossed for it to reach our shores soon.
