Malaysia’s authorised distributor and assembler of Peugeot cars, Nasim Sdn Bhd has finally took the covers off the widely anticipated Peugeot 408.
It will be sold for RM125,888 for the top range Turbo version while the standard 2.0 version is sold for RM109,888 on-the-road with insurance. If that is not attractive enough, you also get up to 6 colours where you can choose between the Metropolis Bronze, Velvet Silver, Bourrasque Blue, Alpine White, Aster Grey or the really classy Premium Black.
Set to compete on the C-Segment market, they are looking for buyers of the younger crowd and their families and it will be coming out of their Gurun’s NAM (Naza Automotive Manufacturing) plant where as mentioned, you can choose between the 2 models. The Prince 1.6 liter THP twin scroll turbo engine is powering up the 408 Turbo that boost out some 163 horses and it would be the most powerful sedan in the category. On the other hand, the standard 408 comes with the 4 cylinder 2.0 liter engine that gets you 145 horses.
Apart from the really comfortable insides, you get some nice looking leather seats, a leather strapped steering wheels, and its revolutionary 6 speaker ‘World in Peugeot Sound’ system. That’s just a pinch of a string of other cool stuff fitted into this new model apart from the LCD panel, anti-pinch for all windrows and an auto-dimming rear view mirror.
