Nissan recall won’t affect Malaysian models

ETCM released an official statement which read “We have not received any complaint of fuel gauge inaccuracies for the Nissan Frontier in Malaysia. This is due to different components being used, compared to the models in the US where the parts are supplied by different component manufacturers.”

Some 539,684 units of Nissan cars were recalled recently by Nissan Motor Co Ltd for checking and where applicable, to have the faulty parts replaced or fixed. The affected models were primarily in the United States and involved the brake pedal pin and fuel gauge components. The models involved were the Titan, Armada, Quest, Pathfinder and Xterra and Infiniti QX56 all of which are not sold in Malaysia.
