Now you can drive your used car for sale at the Uptown Sunday Car Carnival

Great news for those of you who are looking to buy or sell your used cars and vehicles. In fact it is also a great venue for those who would like to know more about other issues related to car ownership including insurance, financing and registration and such. This is because we have now the Uptown Sunday Car Carnival which will be held in Damansara Uptown where it is the ideal one-stop centre for anyone interested in buying and selling of used or new cars.

Datuk Mohamad Roslan Sakiman, the mayor of Petaling Jaya launched the carnival recently where he commended the organizers for coming up with the innovative event. The location of the carnival is the Damansara Uptown Multi-level Carpark at Jalan SS21/39 and will be held on every Sunday starting from 9am to 6pm.

There is another such carnival which is being held in PJ State but is more focused on used cars while the Uptown event includes new cars as well as the other issues involved. Roslan said that the organizers must ensure that cleanliness are well kept at all times because he see a potential that it could eventually become a tourist attraction.

On top of that, auctions are also in the cards for vehicles which are repossessed on certain Sundays and AmBank, which is one of the event partners will be involved to assist buyers on application for hire purchase loans, insurance and refinancing issues. According to YS Chan, the general manager of Uptown Sunday Automart, they are working to attract more individuals and companies to join the event as well as inviting JPJ and Puspakom to be there as well.

Owners who would like to display their vehicles here need only to pay RM30 to rent the parking space for the whole day and this would be a great opportunity as the company looks to tap into the projection that there would be an increase of 300 to 15,000 cars involved in the next 5 years. They also targeted that 20% of these vehicles would be successfully sold. Anyone interested to join the carnival is invited to email them at [email protected] or call 03-77269311 for further enquiries.
