Under the hood, you get the 2.0 liter direct injection turbocharged engine mated with a 6 speed manual transmission gearbox. It is also fitted with twin balance shafts and comes with the FlexRide adaptive suspension system. Being the sporty model, you will surely like the goodies they have fitted into this one as they have painted it with their own Liquid Metal Red. Now for those of you who knows this industry, red had always been the colour of speed.
The GTC Paris measures at 4.46 meters which, ideally is not too long for a sporty car like this and being a 3 door hatchback model, you will be surprised with the leg room one might get when you are seated in the rear. Hence, it is quite a nice fit for 5 passengers although getting in and out might be a bit cumbersome.
As mentioned, the engineers at Opel has been very serious about the aerodynamics of this car and they have translated what you see outside through to its inside. You will notice its nice sweeping lines and shapes on the interior which they claimed to be driver oriented. You get bucket seats which are designed specifically for this model while the black leather strapped steering wheel too further extends its intent.
On top of all that, you will get the Start-Stop technology, while as mentioned earlier, the FlexRide suspension system gives you more comfort and better performance where it continuously adapts to the driving style and the speed when the car takes on corners. Enhancing the stability of the car means that you will benefit greatly through emergency situations with this one. So, while the world is content with the current Astra, they will surely like to see the smaller hatchback and mostly more sporty version coming through soon.
