For the race, the drivers have underwent a complete physical and mental preparations and that the cars too have been prepared to face whatever challenges the track pose. The team is targeting to finish on the podium as the country celebrates its 53rd Merdeka Day in August. This will be round 7 of the series which ends in round 10 and is used as a support event for the Hong Kong Autosport Challenge.
Calvin Wong, the racer of the team said that he will do his best to try and better his current position which is fourth. His teammates are Natasha Seatter, Abang Amirrul Hadi Khiruddin and Ryan Ritchie who are also trying to improve their standings in the Rookie Championship,
The team can expect a drama-filled race where it is forecasted to come with hot weather and occasional thunderstorms and they have gathered data for the previous 6 rounds of races so that they would be ready to mount a challenge. After this round, the series will head out to Singapore on September 23-26 where it is expected to race as the supporting event for the Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix. For round 9 and 10, they will be heading to Japan for the Asian Festival of Speed on October 29-31 at the Okayama International Circuit and then the season finale will take place on November 19-21 at the Macau Grand Prix.
