The large front gaping grille with its bonnet with a large nose is one that makes the 308 pretty enticing. It looks sporty and pretty elegant both coined in one. If you think that just because the car was assembled in the country, there might be compromises in quality then you will be surely wrong, in fact, the parts and quality of the car is pretty much of the same standard that the model you can find anywhere else in the world.
The 308 VTi comes standard with a 1.6 liter variable valve timing engine which gives you a crazy 120horsepowers. This is the widely reported engine which was developed by PSA Peugeot Citroen and BMW where performance, power and fuel economy pretty much gives you what you would expect from the French brand. Also fitted within its engine is the Tiptronic Porsche 4 speed automatic system that comes with manual override. Don’t expect to see the paddle shifters though.
One thing for sure, you can rest assure that this car is one that will give you the boost whenever you need it because it is fast enough for its size. To say the least, acceleration is quick and smooth where gear change happens so effortlessly you will hardly notice. Handling of the car is as expected pretty stable although you might want to slow down a little when approaching sharp bends. The car comes standard with 16 inch wheels, adjustable steering wheel, ABS and 4 airbags.
