National carmaker Proton has unveiled the specifications of the widely anticipated and talked about new Proton Exora Bold Premium and Prime versions.
The facelifted MPV now comes with the Campro CFE (Charge Fuel Efficiency) system which is fitted in the Bold Premium and Prime models respectively. The 1.6 liter engine now boosts out 138 horses which is quite ideal for a car of this size where it takes 13.3 seconds to reach the century mark.
Typically, it is the turbocharged engine although it is not all about power. According to Datuk Seri Syed Zainal Abidin, the Group MD of Proton, it will provide more power to the MPV which is comparable to a 2.0 liter engine albeit with lower fuel consumption. This would be a great addition especially during overtaking and when you actually need more acceleration power. There would also be a Bold Executive trim available while the Bold Premium model comes with leather wrapped steering wheels, leather seats as well as a rear-view mirror LCD.
On the higher model, which is the Exora Prime, you actually get a 6 seater model with 2 Captain Seats made up of the centre row and air con vents. Apart from that, a satellite navigation system is fitted here with head rest monitors for the rear passengers. The Standard Manual version is sold for RM59,998 while you can get the Bold 1.6 Executive MT for RM70,998. The Bold 1.6 Premium CVT is priced at RM79,998 and the top of the range Exora Prime is sold for RM88,998.
