Renault puts Gordini into Twingo

This would be the first car to carry the Gordini name after having been missing for a while and it surely looks its name and impression for not only being fast and responsive but looks good as well. Perhaps one of the more important thing here is not so much about what it includes but more about what Gordini represents. This is because Gordini, who since the 50s have been renowned for being a sports car tuner with participation in Formula 1 as well as in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the 60s. Hence, to carry on this tradition and translate it into the roads would be very challenging.

All the elements of this car are made to coincide with the blue, white and black motif which is set to tell anyone who is looking that this is not one car you would want to mess with. To begin with, its black details on the bumpers both front and back and its spoilers all look superbly and nicely fitted while even the seats which are essentially Gordini Sports seats come with blue leather colours together with the door panel inserts.

The steering wheel is also black and blue with the trademark whit strips with a Gordini emblem fitted on its blue gear knob all looks suitably ‘customized’ for this purpose. According to the company, the car will come standard with 17 inch wheels to give the handling and stability that special sense of superiority while its ‘Sport’ chassis is tuned to ensure that the car performs superbly well. Of course, with its 1.6 liter engine which boosts out some 133 horses, you can lease expect anything less.

In terms of accessories, it also comes with an automatic climate control system, automatic rain sensors, cruise control and a radio-CD players controllable through the steering wheel. The audio system includes MP3 playback with connectivity for iPods and standard MP3 players.
