Renault’s latest Scenic model is sportier than ever

This new model is definitely larger in space as well as in size. It now comes with the front measuring at 1,545 mm while the rear is at 1,547 mm. The total length of the new Scenic is at 4,34 meters which is slightly longer than the previous model while the insides have been given much emphasis on comfort and style. To free up more space inside, they have also included a forward-folding front passenger seatback where the second row seats can be folded frontwards or if you like be fully removed. This will get you up to 1.8cubic meters of space behind. Apart from that, you also get an individually adjustable seats where they can be put into 5 different positions.

They have also included some very ergonomic controls inside as well where the driver is able to control most of the controls within reach like the parking brake assist system, the cruise control as well as the in-car entertainment modules. The new Scenic comes with hands free entry and engine start as well.

Under the hood, you will get the new dCi and TCe engine ranges which supposedly are environmental friendly and performance oriented. To begin with, the dCi version comes in a few variants which are the dCi 85, 105, 110 DPF which stands for diesel particulate filter, 130, 150 and 160. Apart from the 160 which comes with a manual gearbox, all the rest are fitted with automatic transmission gears.

The 1.5 diesel engine gets you between the 3 85 to 105 horses variants fitted into the dCi110 while the dCi160 and 150 are fitted with a 6 speed 2.0 dCi engine. For the petrol version however, you can get the 16V 110 horsepower engine in its 1.6 liter version. Fittings in the new Scenic includes a customizable TFT screen for all driving information while you can choose between the 2 navigation systems namely Carminat TomTom and the Carminat Bluetooth DVD systems respectively. Apart from that the very useful proximity sensor with reverse camera are also fitted in.
