This compact, 5 seater CUV is actually your typical conventional wagon type car which is quick in response but otherwise is quite straightforward. It is sold in the Subaru show rooms and is available in Malaysia for RM 195,372.20 for the 2.5 XT Turbo (AT) version. This is where you will seriously consider your purchase if you are in it for something quick with more space to offer than any other cars in the same engine section.
The Forester comes powered through the 2.5 XT 16 valve turbocharged DOHC engine. The car is essentially fitted with manual and automatic transmissions but you only get the automatic version here which is powered through its Subaru Boxer engine as well as Subaru’s own Symmetrical AWD (All-Wheel Drive) system.
Inside the car you will also get the multi information display on your dashboard, Steering Mounted Audio Satelite Switches, electric remote-controlled door mirrors and bucket seats with 60/40 split fold adjustable rear seats. You will also be entertained through its audio system powered by SRS Circle Surround Automotive sound. The design of the car is nicely done considering that this is some sort of a wagon. It comes with HID headlamps, roof spoiler with LED brake lamp, active headrests, and a sunroof. Airbags are fitted in the front (dual) as well as side and curtain fitted. Other accessories include double wishbone type independent suspension and a remote keyless entry system.
Seriously, this car do looks somewhat ‘classical’ if you ask me but then it is never really judged by its looks but more so about the way it goes. So like it or not, driving a Forester always make heads turn whether you appreciate it or not but whichever way it is, the sheer growling engine revs are loud enough to get your sense of awe any day.
