Tata Motors Limited is the owner of the Tata vehicles brand. It is an Indian automotive manufacturing company which is involved in a wide range of products and services. It is a subsidiary of the large Tata Group where this company manufactures cars, trucks, vans, sedans and many other commercial vehicles as well. Apart from that, Tata Motors is involved in the production of military vehicles as well where it is currently the seventeenth largest manufacturing company in the world.

The Tata brand has been associated with the likes of lorries and buses for a long time now where in terms of volume, it is the second largest manufacturer of buses and the fourth in production of commercial trucks. Headquartered in India, Tata has manufacturing and assembly plants around the country while there are many others around the world like the UK, Argentina and Thailand. Apart from Tata, the group owns prominent brands like Jaguar and the Land Rover as well as Tata Daewoo which is involved in commercial transportation.

Tata’s popularity became more prominent recently after producing the Tata Nano, said to be one of the cheapest compact cars ever. The company was original founded to produce locomotives in 1945 and was only started producing commercial vehicles some 9 years later. In Malaysia, Tata’s main target is in the commercial vehicle segment which is distributed by Hicom Commercial Automotive, formerly known as USF-Hicom, one of the largest automotive groups in the country which will be responsible to market Tata Motor’s trucks and commercial vehicles.
