The small concept car comes with a center driving position and a rear powertrain system where the outside demonstrates some nice dynamic flowing lines where the design has been made to allow for an open interior and more space where you get a big view of the outside. According to the Director of Advanced Design for Honda R&D Americas Inc, Dave Marek, “A new generation is discovering the benefits of living in urban centers that provide convenient access to business, entertainment and social opportunities. The Personal-Neo Urban Transport concept explores the packaging and design potential for a vehicle conceived exclusively around the city lifestyle.”
The P-Nut which typically gives you the impression of being easy and convenient is designed with one center driver seat and 2 at the rear which means that you get quite a lot of legroom in this car. Apart from that it also has the windshield/heads-up display for the navigation system as well as the back-up camera. The idea of this concept car came from the ‘footprint’ concept and is targeted for those in the urban areas where wheezing around in a small compact car is more practical.
Marek added that “The objective of the exterior and interior designers was to explore the potential for a new type of small-segment-category vehicle that overcomes many of the objections for existing micro-car designs. While the Honda P-NUT concept introduces function-oriented concepts, it also shows that small cars don’t have to compromise on style or amenities.”
This car, if it ever makes it to production would be in positioned in the ultra-compact segment which comes with a rear-engine and rear-wheel drive system. as mentioned it is a 3 seater car which means it seriously give you all the space and convenience you will need. Its powertrain is an internal-combustion engine which is either hybrid-electric or battery-electric. With designs and concepts like these, soon the nature of driving would change altogether.
