It has been about 3 months and the sales for their latest launched model the Lexus CT200H has been more than encouraging. This is the eco-friendly, full hybrid luxury compact model where they are targeting to sell 850 units this year. The RX350 is their best selling model for 2009.
He also said that the latest Jalan Serampang facility which is owned by Mutiara Motorsports Sdn Bhd will be one of their latest showrooms for the southern market. This adds on to their 3 other current outlets in the Klang Valley and another one catering for the northern region in Penang. Plans are in place to add another one for the Klang Valley. The dealership was awarded to Mutiara and have since pumped in RM5million to develop the facility as UMW up their efforts to sell more of their hybrid model in the country following the recent government incentive that exempts tax for hybrid cars.
