Volkswagen Malaysia recently launched their R series of vehicles for the Malaysian market and it comes in the Golf R and Passat CC R models respectively.
These 2 models are the flagship performance vehicles in their own accord where the Passat CC R-Line is priced at RM373,888 with a choice of 9 colours. The Golf R meanwhile is sold for RM268,888 and you get to choose between the 6 colour choices that include Candy White, Rising Blue, Tornado Red, Deep Black, Reflex Silver and United Grey.
The Golf R needs no introduction where it is the performance model for the iconic Golf GTI and it comes with a 2.0 liter,4 cylinder TSI turbo engine paired with a six-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission gearbox. It takes only 5.7 seconds to reach the century mark and top speed at 250km/h through its proprietary 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. The 5 door hatchback model comes with 19-inch “Talladega” alloy wheels wrapped with 235/35 rubbers and an 8 speaker DynaAudio sound system.
The Passat CC R-Line meanwhile is packed with 300 over horses through its 3.6 litre V6 engine that also comes with a 6 speed DSG gearbox and the 4Motion all-wheel drive system. A panoramic tilting glass roof and 18-inch “Mallory” wheels are included and a 10 speaker sound system.
