After months and weeks of speculation, Volkswagen Malaysia has officially launched the new and widely anticipated Volkswagen Polo Sedan and it is only RM99,888 without insurance.
This should be the most affordable Volkswagen available where it will be coming in from VW’s plant in India. If the demand is good here, they might be building the CKD version here from the Malaysian plant.
Chrome finishing on the front grille, trunk and that surrounding fog lights welcome you while they will be offering you 6 colours to choose from which are Reflex Silver, Terra Biege, Candy White, Flash Red, Deep Black and Candy White where it comes with some really nice looking 15-inch alloy wheels. Inside the Polo you will surely like the chrome package design that covers the lights of the air-cond vents, the steering wheel accent and such. Upholstery is provided in ‘Metric’ fabric while you get the 4 surround speakers for entertainment.
Under the hood is a 1.6 liter MPI engine paired with a 6 speed torque-converter automatic transmission gearbox. Safety features include 4 airbags, EBD and its own ICRS or Intelligent Crash Reporter System that will automatically unlock the doors and activates the hazard lights if an accident occurs.
