While everyone was talking about the launch of the third-generation Ford Focus, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion sprung a surprise when they revealed the Ford Focus ST as well.
This would be the first ASEAN country to enjoy the new Ford Focus ST which is priced at RM208,888 on-the-road with insurance. It comes with a 3 year or 100,000km warranty while they will also be putting in the ESP (Extended Service Plan) for 3 years or 60,000km.
The Ford Focus ST is typically a CBU unit which will roll in through its German plant and comes with its ST Sport body kit and some very cool 18-inch alloys and 235/40 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric tyres. Under the hood is the 2.0 liter Ti-VCT EcoBoost engine which is good for some 250 horses which is pretty good for its GTi segment.
Coming in as standard in this racing machine is its variable ratio Sport Steering System and the TVC or Torque Vectoring Control. Apart from the rubbers, which is specifically designed for this car, the suspension too is specifically tuned. It comes with 6 airbags and a capless refuelling system and apart from the sunroof, their steering wheel, pedals and the shifters are all specifically made for this model.
